Only Students previously accepted by a participating university and enrolled in the Scholarship For Service (SFS) Program may register and gain access to this system. This U.S. Government System is to be used by authorized users only. Information from this system resides on computer systems funded by the government.

The data and documents on this system include Federal records that contain sensitive information protected by various Federal statutes, including the Privacy Act, 5 U.S.C. § 552a.

Privacy act statement:

• The main authorities that permit collection of your information include 15 U.S.C. 7442 and E.O. 9397, as amended by E.O. 13478.
• The main purpose for collecting your information is to verify your eligibility and ensure compliance with SFS program requirements. In addition, your SSN will be used to identify you in the event you default on program requirements and scholarship funding received must be reimbursed to the U.S. federal government.
• OPM may disclose information that can identify you pursuant to the following routine uses: to the National Science Foundation since they co-manage the program; to verify your information; to SFS program administrators; to the principal investigator (PI) at your participating academic institution; to potential employers; to process a waiver/deferral request; to recoup payments if the SFS requirements are not met; for studies and statistics; for audits; for legal reasons; to respond to a Congressional inquiry you requested; for record keeping; to address a suspected or confirmed breach; and to OPM contractors or similar to accomplish the purpose of this collection.
• Providing this information is voluntary but is required to participate in the SFS program.
